LPOSKA (Lake Pend Oreille Sea Kayakers Association) is not a legal entity; rather it is an unofficial gathering of people in the Sandpoint, Idaho area who are interested in sea kayaking and wish to have an opportunity to kayak with other like-minded people. The emphasis is cooperative sharing of information and experiences. To further this end LPOSKA holds regularly scheduled day trips. Day trips are organized so that there is a central point of contact, a trip contact person. This person is merely a contact point, not a trip leader, and bears no responsibility for the safety of participants nor the well being of their equipment. Participants must sign a Waiver and Release of Liability.

In general, LPOSKA
  • does not accept any responsibility for the safety of participants in any of its activities
  • does not accept any responsibility for any damage to or loss of equipment belonging to participants
  • does not accept any responsibility for the accuracy of any imparted information
